RICE NESHAP Requirements Calculator
Three factors determine how RICE NESHAP affects your specific engine:
- horsepower
- annual operating hours
- if the engine is an area or major source of emissions
A major source of emissions is one that has the potential to emit 10 tons per year or more of HAP emissions, while an area source is defined as a source that is not a major source. Note that stationary engines being tested at a stationay engine test cell/stand are not affected by the RICE NESHAP ruling.
