Universal United Kingdom Consolidates Operations

Universal’s UK office has announced it has moved to a larger facility to handle growth.

Michelle Grossholz, Universal’s Vice President of Global Markets, has announced that its United Kingdom operations has moved to a new facility in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Ms. Grossholz reports that the new facility allows the commercial office to meet future growth expectations and receive operational savings by combining its office and warehouse operations.

The facility is located at Unit 2, Barleyfield, Hinckley Fields Industrial Estate, Hinckley, Leicestershire LE10 1YE. Its phone and fax numbers remain unchanged. The official move took place on Dec 3, 2009. It moves from its downtown Hinckley location.

The Universal UK office enjoys a long history that dates back over 60 years. Through the decades it has been known as Burgess, Nelson-Burgess, Fleetguard, Cummins and Universal Silencer. In Dec 2009 the Universal Silencer announced the changing of its name to Universal. This move allows it to better position itself in the marketplace as an acoustic and emission technologies leader.
