Growth in air pollution, diesel exhaust and noise reduction opportunities prompts promotion of Universal's Mr. Hasz to lead industrial products group.

Bill Hasz has been named Americas Markets Sales Manager – Industrial Products. Mr. Hasz's responsibilities will be to strengthen Universal's rep network and develop the industrial exhaust markets, including noise reduction, diesel exhaust treatment and air pollution control. Randy Olson, VP Americas Markets states, "After an analysis of how to maximize Universal's position and direction for the industrial markets including diesel exhaust treatment, we determined that we needed a leader who best understands this growing aspect of our acoustic reduction and emission control business. With Bill's history of successful industrial product roles within Nelson Industries, Cummins and Universal, he is the perfect candidate."

Bill Hasz adds, "Universal is uniquely positioned in the market to provide air pollution control systems which include noise reduction, air emissions and filtration product. We have internal capabilities to manage the entire system – a one stop source for our customers." Mr. Hasz has been with Universal since September 2000 as a Regional Sales Manager.

The move was prompted by growth in the emission control and acoustic reduction business. Universal's customers are seeking solutions to EPA regulations that require air pollution control for carbon dioxide emissions and insoluble particulate matter, as well as other greenhouse gas emissions. Regional regulations such as the California Air Resources Board (CARB) are also driving the requirements for air pollution solutions.
