Quality Assurance Program

Universal AET maintains a formal quality management system (QMS) that is certified by Bureau Veritas Certification to the ISO 9001 QMS Standard. In addition, we maintain a specific quality program that meets the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Universal holds the “U” and “UM” ASME Code certificates for pressure vessel fabrication, and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBIC) “R” certificate for pressure vessel repair.

Awards for Excellence & Quality

Universal AET is a recipient of the General Motors Targets for Excellence award and the Solar Turbines Certified Supplier Award, and has passed numerous quality audits by customers, including companies such as Asea Brown Boveri, General Electric, Solar Turbines, GE Packaged Power, Transcontinental Gas Pipeline, Fairbanks-Morse, Northrop Grumman and Siemens.

Our Certifications

Universal AET strives to continually improve processes and capabilities in its facilities. This is demonstrated in part through the receipt of other external certifications, which are subject to ongoing surveillance similar to ISO and ASME.
